Maddy, and other medical students cycled from Southampton for the 10th anniversary of the PIER 2025 paediatric conference in Winchester, and were joined there by RCPCH President Professor Steve Turner.
Maddy and fellow medical students set off from Southampton Common on 14.10.25 at 7:00am. Their plan was for a safe ride at a comfortable conversational pace, so they could talk all things sustainability! It was a lot of fun and a great success. They were delighted to be met by the RCPCH President Professor Steve Turner
PIER conference aims to share innovation in the future of child health, which felt like a good opportunity to have a bike ride to the conference to bring people together, raise awareness and encourage health care professionals, to show the need for active travel and clean air.
