RFTL supports Pedal for Paris
18.07.24

Pedal for Paris aimed to galvanise the sport and physical activity sector to step up its work in tackling climate change in the lead up to Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Heather Lambert was privileged and thrilled to be invited along, thanks to her climate change activism with RFTL and having been World and European Age Group Duathlon champion.

Pedal for Paris was a joint venture by Sport England and the BBC to highlight the need to act on climate change. The route called in on various organisations committed to leading the charge to become sustainable, to protect grassroots sport for the generations to come.
BBC NEWS Documentary Pedal for Paris
Cycling with the Pedal for Paris team over 6 days was full of surreal "is this really happening?" moments including leaving London with a lead-out of world and olympic champions Katherine Grainger, Sarah Storey, Chris Boardman and round the world record holder Mark Beaumont. So many inspiring and diverse conversations and ideas flowed as we pedalled along. Six consecutive days of some of the fastest and hardest cycling I've done.
